About Me

Hey everyone, My name is Giovanni Mills, a comic book artist/illustrator originally from the Philadelphia area but I am now living near Jacksonville, Florida. I've been developing my own comic book, as well as creating various illustrations. I am primarily a self-taught artist, the only formal education I have geared towards the development of my art skills, includes two semesters majoring in fine art at a community college, although I did not find that the experience was particularly enlightening so I ended up changing my major to business. 

My Artistic Vision

My art is inspired by iconic characters created by some of the most influential artist of all time like superheroes and the captivating worlds of sword and sorcery fantasy. I aim to create narratives that enable me to depict these elements. I love pencil and ink work and I strive to create intricate and energetic artwork that highlight these elements!

My inspiration

Initially, I was motivated by the narratives and imagery in manga in story such as One Punch Man and Berserk, but through my studies as an artist I stumbled upon the exceptional creations of Jim Lee, David Finch, Marc Silvestri, and many more amazing comic book artists. I then pivoted my style and goals towards a style more aligned with Western comics.
